Championing Active Travel

Encouraging confidence on two wheels, our first led bike ride of the year was a huge success – and the sun shone!
Participants were keen to get comfortable cycling in a city setting and find routes they could commute by.  Our Active Travel Consultant from Bike for Good provided all equipment (helmets, jackets and of course the bikes) for a fun, leisurely tour of the cycle network close to Skypark.
And good fun was had by all.  Jelli Ramos from Blyth and Blyth said  ‘It’s been a while since I was on a bike, it was good to go over all the safety aspects.  The cycle ride went smoothly and was a lot of fun.’
Rebecca Taylor from Leidos added  ‘It was an amazing day for a cycle along the riverfront. I haven’t been on a bike in years, and forgot the confidence I once had. This ride really helped bring it back.

Bike for Good Glasgow were instrumental in making this cycle happen, by allowing use of their bikes and equipment and being generous with their expert knowledge of the area.

Thanks Bike For Good!
