News release 13th October 2020

Skypark, one of Scotland’s premier business locations based in Glasgow, has announced the completion of a new state-of-the-art 250 space cycling facility and an award of Platinum Certification by CyclingScore.

As part of an ongoing multi-million pound investment to improve the overall site, led by the international business of Federated Hermes, the certification and new facilities transform Skypark into one of the most cycle-friendly business destinations in Scotland, completing a best-in-class cycle friendly infrastructure that meets the requirements of the modern cyclist.

Tenants choosing to cycle to and from Skypark now have access to 375 bike parking spaces, comprising 250 indoor and 125 outdoor spaces. Facilities include eBike charging points, 236 lockers, segregated showers and changing facilities, a drying room, a dedicated cycle repair space and a host of engagement services.

Commenting on the state-of-the-art facility Skypark’s Strategic Lettings Advisor, Angela Higgins of Resonance Capital said: “As one of Scotland’s most ‘Cycling Friendly Employers’ fully embracing sustainability, cycling to work is a game changer, improving health and wellbeing for all as well as your carbon footprint.  Our partners Cycling Scotland, CyclingScore and Bike for Good are now offering employer support and guidance on accessing cycling and all of its benefits.”

Stephen Ellis, Senior Investment Manager at the international business of Federated Hermes,  added: “This Platinum Certification marks an important point in Skypark’s ongoing improvements, delivering best-in-class amenities that will encourage more people to cycle, as well as setting a standard for other business destinations across Scotland and the rest of the UK.”
