Community Impact Award Finalist

Skypark has been shortlisted for the Community Impact Award at the 2026 Inspiring City Awards, recognising more than 16 years of making a positive difference in the local community.

From transforming learning spaces and bringing art into unexpected places, to getting hands-on with bees and bringing emergency services together, Skypark’s community programme is all about creating connections beyond the workplace.

At the heart of this is Anderston Primary School, where Skypark and its occupiers have donated furniture, IT equipment, STEM resources and their time to refresh classrooms, outdoor spaces and learning areas. The project has supported around 204 pupils and 200 families, while giving unwanted office equipment a new lease of life.

Skypark has also teamed up with SWG3 and Yardworks to bring PARK XR to Skypark 7, transforming a vacant site into an immersive street art experience combining large-scale artwork with augmented reality. Around 60 Anderston Primary pupils were among the first to take part in workshops exploring spray painting, digital art and new technology.

Then there’s Meet the Bees, which has brought beekeeping and biodiversity to life for Skypark tenants and local schoolchildren. Around 450 people took part between 2023 and 2025, learning about pollinators, sustainability and the importance of protecting our natural environment.

And in 2024, Skypark hosted 200 Years of ‘Super Heroes’, bringing Anderston Primary, Headstart Nursery and emergency services together for a day of demonstrations, safety education and community connection. Around 200 pupils, staff and local community members took part.

Together, these projects reflect Skypark’s commitment to being more than a place to work – creating opportunities, supporting local organisations, reducing waste and helping build a more connected Glasgow.
