Get involved with the Skypark mission to support local university students in their biggest charity fundraiser of the academic year. We are delighted to sponsor Glasgow Charity Fashion Show (GCFS) and its charity partner Impact Arts, an organisation that supports people and communities through art and creativity. GCFS is Glasgow University’s largest student fundraising society and shines a light on the inequalities that so many people live with.
There are plenty of ways to get involved in helping the students fundraise. One of our on site businesses, Dermalogica, is providing products for VIP goody bags for the night of the Fashion Show. The fundraising team are also on site regularly with their charity bake sales (look out for them at the next Social) and buy a treat or two. You can also donate directly to their Justgiving page, raise funds as an office or volunteer your time with the charity.
Freya Hartley, treasurer and director of sponsorship for GCFS said:
“This year’s partner is Glasgow-based Impact Arts, a charity which aims to tackle inequalities and address poverty through visual arts, music and drama. Fostering personal development, confidence and valuable life skills, Impact Arts empowers children and people of all ages. There are many ways for Skypark companies to get involved from fundraising or volunteering to more creative alternatives. Thank you so much for helping to improve lives!”
The 24 hour Jailbreak Fundraiser
If you are up for supporting a fun, student team-based 24 hour fundraising challenge then read on! Jailbreak is a 24 hour event where student teams of 2-3 people try to get as far away from Glasgow, without spending any of their own money. The teams depend on the generosity of strangers and businesses to fund their travel arrangements, whilst they fundraise and raise awareness for Impact Arts as they go. GCFS is looking for companies that may want to match-fund the event or support a specific team. Perks include naming a team and plenty of social media coverage (LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook) before and after the event including the company’s logo, sponsor-centred social media content for the entire 24 hours of Jailbreak
Jailbreak 2024 gets underway on the 18th November.
Alternative ways to give to Impact Arts:
Here are some other ways to contribute to Impact Arts and give your vital support.
Volunteering – training sessions are provided if you want to share your creative skills.
Raise Awareness – Skypark will be sharing GCFS and Impact Arts posts on social media. Please like and share with your communities.
Donate Your Birthday – Asking friends and family to donate to Impact Arts on your behalf for your birthday is a great way to give back to charity. Facebook has an easy tool to plan birthday fundraisers too.
