Getting Buzzy at Skypark – Learning The Art of Beekeeping

This summer around 100 Skyparkers and members of the public tried their hand at beekeeping, getting up close and personal with over 100,000 of our Skypark honeybees. Participants had the chance to delve into the fascinating world of beekeeping, witnessing the hive’s inner workings and learning about the vital role honeybees play in our ecosystem.

Sessions ran 45 minutes.  Some staff brought their children along and we provided full protective beekeeping suits for all.  It was an awesome chance to connect with nature’s busiest workers and gain a deeper understanding of the life cycle of the humble honeybee.
